Welcome to Bot Breakdown

We were inspired by the Arizona Scouting Alliance's goal to unify scouters across teams - but we're taking the vision world-wide.

The design is that anyone can contribute facts (full data or just partial) about a robot's match - and in turn you'll get access to all the data that anyone else captures for that events as well.

BotBreakdown will combine all of the facts submitted and average out the values from all contributors. We'll also add all of the alliance statistics to the final data, provided by FIRST's API.

If you're not online when you submit the data, our form will hold the data for you so you can submit it later when you are connected again.

1. Getting started

  1. Register an account, and then click on "My Events" in the navigation. Once you submit some data, this is where you'll be able to see all of the information for that event.
  2. For now though, click the button and choose the event you are contributing data to.
  3. The form will pre-populate with the teams at the event, and from that moment it'll be available to you even if you go offline.

2. Storing Data

Your data will be stored as a QR code on the device you submit it on. If you're online it'll immediately get stored on our server. If not, you can submit it later OR scan the QR code with a phone or other device that IS connected and that will add the data too!

3. Downloading and Analyzing Data

The analysis is your team's time to shine! You can easily download all the data that anyone has submitted to events on your "My Events" page. Then you can use any tools you'd like to for analysis.

But to get you started, we have a few examples of how to use tools like Excel and PowerBI on our blog -- check it out and see if it gives you ideas!

Latest Update

After several great off-season events at ARL, our premiere launch event is Arizona Championship (data here)! We're spreading the word about the tool and are looking forward to the 2025 season where we expect usage to start growing outside Arizona!
