Privacy Policy

The short version:

We have designed this tool for the good of the FIRST™ community. At this time we are entirely supported by 2 FRC teams, but we may accept donations in the future.

We do not have advertising on the site.

We use an email service to get you registered and logged in. Their security and privacy policies are available here but we selected them in part because of their protection of your information as well.

Otherwise, we do not provide, share, or sell your information to any other people or companies, except for what is visible to other scouters, as noted below.

We don't use trackers, behavior analytics tools, social media buttons, or other tools which might incidentally or intentionally provide your information to other companies.

What we collect (and why)

  1. Your email address (required for submitting and downloading data)
    • This is so you can register and log in, which allows us to know which matches you have submitted data to.
    • In EXTREMELY rare cases, such as if this privacy policy would ever change, we might send you an email with an announcement.
  2. The IP address and browser identifier you load pages from (required)
    • This provides a little extra security during registration and helps us troubleshoot if something goes wrong.
  3. Your name (optional)
    • We only use this to display on your page and in emails we send you.
    • It does not have to be your real name, and if you don't give us a name, we'll just call you "Scouter".
    • Other users of this site will not see this.
  4. A display name (optional)
    • We only use this to show who submitted data to a match.
    • It does not have to be your real name, and if you don't provide this, we'll just refer to you as "Anonymous".
    • Other users of this site may see this value.
  5. The scouting data you submit
    • Obviously the point of this site is to gather the information you submit about specific teams' performance in FRC matches.
    • The data you submit will be visible and made available to other scouters using this site.
